No More Broken Hearts Tonight!

2016 has flown by so fast and it's already almost the end of September! The past 9 moths of 2016 for me has definitely been a roller coaster ride.    I have experienced the joyous part in the past 9 months but also have experienced the doleful part in the short span of 9 months as well. You guys may have already guessed by now this post is yet another rant of the recent event that has happen.

p.s Do skip this post if you are here for fashion or lifestyle post.

Has any of you guys had your heart broken or has been "cheated"  on?
I have never been in the dating scene much and am rather new to it.  Not long ago I met someone on an online dating site and after a few days or so of chatting we decided to meet.

The person I met on the day of the "date" was super nice and very warm and friendly.  The entire "date" went really well and dare I say it was AWESOME! Not revealing too much information or details of what happen in between and long story short I recently just found out the person I went out with was double dating and I was being led on.

I mean I am not one to say I am a good judge of people but most of the time my friends can say that I am a good judge of people and their character. Hence, I am the one that they come to when the want to date someone new or want to know if the person can be befriended.  Going back to my broken heart story.  You guys may think that since I am a good judge of character and people why didn't I see it coming. The sad truth is that I did see it coming but I chose to ignore it and instead with going with what my brain tells me I chose to go with my heart. I bet this has happened to many of you guys out there. Where we know something is wrong or not trustable and that our brain is telling us not to go ahead and do it but for some stupid and crazy reasons we always go with our heart. There's nothing wrong with going with what our heart tells us to do but sometimes we have to know when to listen to our intuition as well.

When we blindly follow what our hearts chooses we may ultimately get hurt and it is much harder to fix a broken heart than anything. When faced with a broken heart one cannot simply be healed completely as a broken heart takes time to heal and even if it has healed there will always be a scar. That scar will always serve as a constant reminder to be wary the next time. We will always have that nagging feeling and a barrier when we try meeting someone new as we are afraid of getting hurt the same way again.

Having close friends or even family members with you in the time of healing is paramount and it serves as a distraction from your broken heart.

Luckily the time spent with the person was short, and the process of finding out felt as tho a band-aid being ripped out fast. Tho is may be fast but the after effect of the ripped band-aid does leave behind a momentary pain.

Lesson learnt here is to be careful of who you meet online and never never never judge a book by its cover. Not forgetting to listen not only to your heart but listen to your intuition (Brain) as well. Wanting to cry or  depress about such situations are what makes us human.  Feeling different emotions are humanly things and what makes us stronger is how we succumb to these emotions and be stronger the next time.

Side note: I have stumble upon a Demi Lovato song call Warrior and it totally describes how one should be when faced with a broken heart.

Stay tuned to my upcoming post on my trip to the art science museum.

Themed Cafes!!!

Themed Cafes.... Anybody likes themed cafes as well. Well I am not a hardcore enthusiast of themed cafes, but I do enjoy and appreciate how cafes have a theme as it kinda brings out the inner geek in me ><

I do not know of many themed cafes in Singapore as my themed cafes knowledge pool is rather limited.  Those that I heard and known of are the Hello Kitty Cafe located at Changi Airport , the Superhero cafe at Marina Bay Sands and the Pokemon Cafe that was at Bugis area for a brief period of time.

Usually, these themed cafes are very popular as the cafe are not only decorated with Pokemon or Hello Kitty decorations but the food is shaped like the character. The food sold at these themed cafes are  super duper pricey as we not only pay for the food but the "brand" of eating food shaped like our loved characters. Not forgetting the ridiculously long queues where the waiting time can go on for 2 hours!

However, I have stumbled upon a themed cafe call Pompompurin cafe located at Orchard Gateway, if I'm not mistaken.  Pompompurin is a character from Hello Kitty and is also one of Hello Kitty's friend (As I was told by a friend). The cafe had a yellow and white colour theme and is also decorated with many Pompompurin characters. The surprising thing about this cafe is that the food prices are not that expensive, and very much priced similarly to most other restaurants or cafes.

Since I went on a weekday there was no queue ><  Also in light of the fall season now, the cafe has some sort of promotion where if one orders a dish with the Pompompurin min mug in it gets to get that mini mug for free ( They will give you a brand new mug). I mean come on! Singaporeans like me loves free stuff!

I just had desserts while I was there as I ordered a five layers pancake dish. I am no foodie, hence I may not be the best person to ask for food opinions or suggestions.  However, based on my amateur criticism I can say that the food is not very bad and it was kinda average. I mean most themed cafes' food are quite horrible but are priced super high because of the "brand" but for this Pompompurin cafe,  the dessert that I tried was not bad at all.

I will recommend to you guys to give it a try or for those who wants to go to a themed cafe and be part of the "cool" crowd and want to experience the whole themed cafe vibe, I will definitely ask yall to give it a try. At least you won't burn that big of a hole in your wallet.

There's Always A Silver Lining!

Does this ever happen to anyone of you guys? If any of you guys have read my post on a very useless rant about how I felt that everything in my life was not going my way. Hence, I believe many of you may or may not feel the same way, where we just feel super depressed and questioned why me and why now?  However, there's a saying that goes where there is always a silver lining behind every disastrous predicament.

Well, finally I began to see that silver lining. I cannot say for sure that everything now is going perfect or is going any smoother, but it is definitely getting better.  I  am trying not to disclose too much information as things are slowly picking up as being a superstitious guy, I am trying not to jinx anything ><

Many of us will face a point or multiple points in our lives where we just feel super dejected and depressed due to the myriad of problems we face in our day of age. Many of us may not have the same tenacity as others to quickly recover from a predicament. That is why as cliche as it may sound we must cling onto hope. Hope that everything will be better. Hope that thing will take on a better turn. Hope that maybe just maybe we were meant to take on a different path in life and life is pushing us towards something much more wonderful. I know many of us may not face the same happily ever after story where things get better. However, no matter how long it may be you must believe that there is always something better for you out there and you just have to take that leap of faith and go towards and grab it.

Time can be an ass sometimes and it may torture us in ways we can never imagine. Therefore, we must be patient and hopeful. I know I am definitely not someone to give the best advice or pet talk, to say the least. But hopefully, I can provide at least a glimmer of encouragement to those out there facing problems of their own. My problems are definitely small and petty as compared to many of you guys of there.  This is just me penning down my thoughts whilst proving words of inspiration or at least encouragement to those who need it. I mean we all need some kind of inspirations or encouragement to keep us going and get motivated right?

On a more happy note, here is a short fashion style post. I am really into the baggy and chill kind of style lately and have been wearing quite a bit of oversized clothing.

Keeping to the chill vibe I have paired this awesome top I got from Yishion with this ripped jeans shorts, which is just nice for the sunny weather of Singapore. Yishion has the kind of clothing I am into now, where they have very Korean-ish style (In my opinion) and is quite affordable. Their clothes have very modern taste to it and the colours are very muted and clean which is suitable for those who are not into colours very much. They also provide clothes with brighter colours with a myriad of styles and designs. (FYI I am in no way paid to promote Yishion, I genuinely find their clothes really AWESOME!)

Does this happen to you guys where there are certain shops at the different time of the year where they sometimes have super awesome clothes while other times you walk into the shop at another time and you are just disappointed? However, for me Yishion has really great clothing now whilst other more known brands seem to have the same design throughout and I seem to find similar designs across each store.

Movie Madness!

Do many of you guys love zombie movies or a zombie-ish movie like World War Z?  Ha! I bet most of you guys may have already guessed what movie I am going to talk about.  Yes, I am going to share my view and thoughts on the movie " Train To Busan".

*Spoilers Alert!! Proceed with Caution*

 Picture from Google.com

To me, I kinda felt that the movie was rather similar to the movie World War Z. Where the " Zombies" are infected and they do not display the typical Zombie characteristics, as the " Zombies" in both movies moves so much faster and by so much faster I meant that these " Zombies" actually can run!

Can you imagine being chased by these crazy " Zombies"! I will totally be dead or "infected" in a matter of seconds once the outbreak starts. I mean come on I do not have the cardio to run away from these " Zombies", I am already so lazy to pour myself a cup of water.

However, I don't know if you guys have noticed whilst watching the movie. The characters in the movie are kinda retarded, they can literally be standing in front of the "Zombie" screaming instead of running the other way.  What really grinds my gear and maybe one of the endless reasons why I hate watching a horror movie, is that the characters seem to have the liking to head towards the direction where the ghost or the "Zombie" is.  They can have the luxury and time to stroll down towards the  commotion instead of running away in the opposite direction to get as far away as possible. I can seriously see this happening a lot in Singapore and why most Singaporeans will not survive. Most of us are very KayPo (Busybodies) and likes to go see what is happening, not hoping to have the possible chance that there is a celebrity or a performance but an accident or a fight to occur so that we can video it and post it online for our own stupid and mindless amusements. Hence, if one Singaporean is bitten by one of these "Zombies" you can surely count on the fact that the entire neighborhood will be running towards that bitten Singaporean to take a Selfie ><
The movie itself is not the only action packed but it brings you to an emotional roller coaster ride. The main actor who is not only smoking hot but also plays the most pivotal role in the movie. All of us can see how he experienced a change in his personality throughout the short span of the outbreak. We can also see his love for his daughter where he will go lengths and distance for. Though he may seem like someone with a stone cold personality but this emotionless facade lies a warm and loving father.

His daughter is also another strong and powerful character in the movie. Having hating her father for the divorce, she seem to put on a front that she does not appreciate her father and prefers her mother. However, all little girls' hearts will cling to the paternal love of their father and ultimately admits her yearn and need for her dad upon seeing her dad doing so much to protect her and also when her dad eventually got bitten.

How an epidemic like that can also show the true nature and the cruelty of the human race. We live by each day doing our daily activities for the sole purpose of survival and for the ones we love. This movie depicts the adverse spectrum of how human nature is a showcase when a disaster strikes. The majority of us only fend for ourselves and disregard the well-being of others around us. A sad truth but there is also a glimmer of kindness out there where people are united and kind which the movie depicted as well when we can see those who help each other and stay united survived relatively far into the movie. I would give a rating for this movie a 9/10, a must watch.

Aside from a review of the movie "Train To Busan" I also watch the movie " The Mechanic".

I cannot give many reviews about this movie as I am not an action typed movies person . However, for some bizarre reason, I found this movie fairly watchable and interesting. It actually had a decent storyline with a sprinkle of hero and damsel in distress accent to it. For someone who despise action movie and actually says that it was interesting, I think the director did a great job. Besides Jessica Alba was in it >< A rating of 7/10.

Also as promised an outfit of the day. Here is the fashion section:) The best part about the below picture is the awesome background. HAHA! Having the haze situation in Singapore and the weather being all kinds of evil. I decided to wear a rather thin green T-shirt inside and paired with a camo outerwear. The camo top is not that thick and it is just right to wear both outdoors and indoors in this disgusting heat and inside malls where is freezing cold. With such conditions, it is hard not to fall sick. To fight the heat, of course, jeans is a big No hence I opted for shorts instead. I find the green Tshirt matches well with the camo top and for a pop of color, I decided to choose blue shorts for a more casual and brighter look.

By the way, did you guys noticed that the blue hair is gone ><

Useless and Nonsensical Post! (Read with Caution!)

Hey guys so sorry for not posting in such a long time... Have been mad busy with school and all the annoying adult life stuff.

I mean I know I am just 21 years old and had just stepped into the world of adulthood and I am here already complaining about how hard life is.

Okay let me give a little life update here as well as a little rant ><  If you guys are here to read about fashion or any lifestyle post do read my previous blog posts and also stay tuned for my next blog post where I will be doing another movie review or rather two movie review as well as a fashion ootd shot...

Alright, so here is my little rant....  Well, I am supposed to start my University in the month of August but there was an issue that happened and the school had to postpone the school reopening day. In case many readers who are not familiar with the Singapore's system , for all male citizen, we are obligated to serve a minimum of 2 years of National Service. Therefore, for most of Singaporeans the males will usually enlist once we have completed our Junior College or Polytechnic (We have a different education system here in Singapore as we can choose to either take an 'A' level in Junior College for 2 years and is only eligible for those are the top 25% of cohort for their 'O' levels- Secondary level  or a Diploma certificate which one has to study 3 years in a polytechnic.)  Hence, upon completion of the national service one will then proceed to further their studies at a University - with exception of certain majors such as medicines or political science one can disrupt their national service for them to study first then come back to finish their service in the army.

I was so annoyed by the fact that I had to start school even later when I am already behind in a way.

Aside from the childish school drama, while waiting for my school to start I had to find something to do to kill the time. I mean I can sit around whole day on my bed and watch Netflix or I could find a job that pays well and is happy to have me to work for a month or so. Many of you guys reading this may be thinking that I am a total brat and I am just being over dramatic about these small matters.Well, you are totally right! However, I just wanted to rant and complain as what a typical Singaporean always does.

To many of you guys out there who found this post useless and stupid. Please skip this post and read my others posts :)
