Movie World Love! (Day 2)

Welcome to part 2 of my Aussie adventures! Day 2 of our adventure we went to Gold Coast's Movie world. It was rather similar to the Universal Studios Singapore we have here.  We had a bargain on our ticket price as there was a package for three famous theme parks ( Movie world, Sea world and wet & wild) for the price of AUD$98.

There wasn't many rides available as compared to the USS here in Singapore but the place was very spacious and huge. There was a total of 3 main roller coaster rides to  reckon with, there was the superman themed ride, batman and not forgetting the green lantern one.  I went on all the three roller coasters but I must say my favourite one is definitely the green lantern, it was so fun that I went on it twice.

However, there was also other rides available as well as a good selection of shows here and there. There was a ride that got me hooked and addicted and I literally went on it like 3- 4 times, the ride is called "Scooby Doo"( If i'm not mistaken). It was a hair-raising and adrenaline filled ride. I mean the ride had an elevator that brings you up, it goes backwards and not forgetting numerous bends and turns. The ride had a decent story line with proper decor to fit the story, I am just practically amazed by this ride. If you guys know any similar rides in your theme parks in the country you live in do let me know in the comments section below,  I will be more than happy to learn about them and who knows maybe one day if I am visiting I may go and give it a try. The closest ride I can think of somewhat similar to this ride that I can draw comparisons to will be the "Mummy" ride in USS.

The theme park also offers a vast selection of merchandise ranging from classic warner brothers cartoons to movie characters ( e.g, Harry Potter). I went out of the theme park with a hole in my wallet.

Do check out my Instagram(@paintdaze) for other ootds. Stay tuned for Day 3.

Aussie Bound! (Day 1)

Hey guys! It has been such a long time since i posted a post. I have just returned back from my Aussie adventures and I must say I am having serious withdrawals from the trip!

I was being accompanied by one of my dear army mates and we had the most chilled and eye opening experience ever. We were in Gold Coast for 9 days and spent the remaining 4 days in Sydney.

We were flying on Scoot airlines and I had a very pleasant and smooth journey to Gold Coast, I will definitely fly with scoot again and will totally recommend to everybody!

                                                              #Aussiebound!

On our first day in Gold Coast we stayed with an Air BnB host in Q1 resort and spa. The place we saw on the Air BnB app was simply beautiful with a magnificent view overlooking the sea. As we were staying on the 39th floor we had a relatively decent view of the city area as well as the view of the ocean. However, upon arriving at Q1 resort and spa I was deeply disappointed in almost everything! Not that I am complaining that I have to wait a good 2 hours odd before my friend and I was able to check into the room but we were shocked at the cleanliness of the place. If I had the chance I would have taken some photos of the place to give yall a picture as to how dirty the place was. The host did inform us that we were rather early for the check in and we may expect a bit of a mess of the place. To our horror,  it wasn't just a bit of a mess but literally a pigsty! The carpets were dirty with crumbs all over, the dishes were not washed and there were even shattered glass pieces laying around.

We informed the host about the condition of the place and told us that the help will come tomorrow and tidy the place up. Sadly that did not happen and we had to sleep and stay in out lovely pigsty for another night. My friend was so disgusted and frustrated by the condition of the place that he went ahead and find another place to stay in for the other days of our stay in Gold Coast.

Well our first two days in Gold coast has been interesting was it not >< Do stay tune for my post on my Day 2 in Gold Coast as we went to one of their theme park( Movie World)!

Bestie's 21st Birthday!

Happy 21st birthday my dear bestie!!! you look like a beautiful queen on your special day:) I am so happy I am able to help you in the preparations of the party to your dress outfit.  My wishes to you that you will remain jovial and carefree as always. I am also proud to see that you have grown into such a strong woman and met your love of your life who treats you like a real queen. i was so relieved that the video nithi and I made received so many positive comments ( check out the video on my facebook @ Roydon Ralph Shong)

Though my dear bestie looked like a queen, and as a fashionista myself I could not loose out to her right? I had to look classy and at the same time doing my best not to outshine the birthday girl. I went to a dark and simple look with the most minimal accessories and colours, But i mean my hair colour itself was already striking as it is.

Sorry for the lousy post, as I am so drained and exhausted from the party, as i stayed over for 3 days and had only 4 hours of sleep. My brain is literally dead and not working at all.

Purple Murple!

Purple murple >< Hi guys, I'm back but with purple hair!

I actually coloured my hair at home with the help of my beloved sister:) I bought the purple hair dye for about $15 for a medium tub at a shop( it is a box shop, you couldn't miss it.) in Scape underground. I was really very surprise how well the colour turned out for the price i paid for the dye. The sellers from the shop were really very nice and helpful in giving me detailed description in the different brands of the hair dye and which were better and cheaper. They were also really awesome as they helped me picked out a colour for my hair, to be honest i was kinda skeptical in the colour purple but hey " never try, never know" right?

I will definitely head back down for my next hair colour, and i'll be sure to remember the name of the shop as well as the photos:) Do leave a comment on what hair colour you think i should try next.

I will be selling some super dry merchandise soon so do stay tune for updates. ( will be sold on my carousel account - roydon ralph)

A picture speaks a thousand words!

We all know a picture can speak a thousand words.  How a picture is being captured or how a piece of art is drawn to the painter's imaginations. A piece of art can be  perceived in multiple ways depending on how one view it. This form of beauty is simply amazing, as the interpretations are endless and there is simply no one specific and correct view.

Taking for example the painting above, it was said to portray the ferocity of the tigers and how its their natural and incisive personality. How the tigers in the painting are violently preying in the innocent bull regardless of the situation they are in, where apparently they are at the edge of a cliff.

Well if it was up to me to give an opinion on the interpretation of the painting, i will think that it is a symbol  on how ugly this world we are living in right now is. I mean the tigers can be a representation of us humans, where we are ferocious in  our methods and ways in order to achieve and get what we want. Preying on the weak and frail to emphasise the idea of the higher power will always prevail and be the top of the food chain.  This timeless piece of art is a great representation that no matter how time changes or how much the society progresses, the fact that we are living in a man eats man world will always be the same. The same amount of violence, same ferocity, same idealogy.

Squad Goals!

Aren't we just like Squad goals!!! Went and surprise my dear bestie Saranya for her pre- 21st birthday surprise. Myself and another of my best friend met the day before and created a video for her which encompasses her life from when she was a baby up to now....  I must admit i am really very happy and proud of the final video product. The video will be up soon, once it is aired during her 21st birthday party.

After the awesome pre-birthday surprise we had we proceeded to Oblong. A very famous waffle cafe, where they have the most savoury red velvet waffle topped with a refreshing scoop of earl grey lavender ice cream (ice-cream of your choice but i like the earl grey one).

I have heard many great reviews as well as countless recommendations from friends to try out this delicious waffle from oblong but i am the type of person who needs to be forced to go down for me to try out any new stuff.

After a tummy-filling waffle session we headed for a #ootd photoshoot session. I never imagine that taking ootds could be infused with so much fun and laughter, the BEST ootd photoshoot session i ever had.

The lovely contrast of Green and blue in one photo!

                                                   Ground shot! ><

Pre-Birthday girl ootd Photoshoot session for her by yours truly

After the intense and fun-filled photoshoot session we headed to a nearby hawker centre(Chomp Chomp) for a early dinner. The place is famous for it's cheap seafood and huge-ass water. Luckily we were there early, if not once the crowd starts coming in you can forget about getting a seat! We had another hearty and sumptuous meal! (snippets of chomp chomp food experience was on my snapchat).

Having done with our dinner we headed to one of my friend's home and chilled there for a while, playing xbox and PSP.

It was indeed a day to remember!

Wrapped Mind!

Went and watch the new x-men movie for the second time again because the movie was just too damn good.

Having the idea of the very first mutant on earth with accumulated powers over the centuries he lived made him seemed almost god-liked.  Hence, he having the idea of changing and " cleansing" the earth seemed like his calling.  He is wrapped in his own ideology that with the power he possesses he is able to rid the world clean.

I mean i don't totally disagree with his wrapped thinking. Think about it,  the world now is really turning into a polluted and infected wasteland. In many aspects the world looked " sick". Hence, if i were ever blessed to be bestowed with such power like the mutant in the movie and seeing the state  the world is in now i would have the same thinking.

Aside from that i felt that the movie had a lot of emotional twists and have you at the edge of your seat the world time. It really captures the attention of the audience the entire time ( unlike the third x-men movie).  Well, these are my side thinking and opinions.

As for my movie outfit i had a black t-shirt i got from Malaysia and my jacket from Zara. I wore this very jacket for the sole reason that it actually matches my hair colour ><

Oh before i forget! I am thinking of starting a Youtube channel that vlogs my travel as well as men's fashion and other lifestyle content.  So stay tune for my youtube update.
