Wedding Bells

Living in a multicultural society like Singapore  we are bound to be friends with many different races and have the blessed opportunity to indulge ourself in the myriad of cultural and traditions.

I was very elated to be invited to my ex- secondary school teacher's wedding.  She looks absolutely gorgeous in her malay wedding outfit! I look like a peasant sitting next to a princess.

Well, hope you and your hubby will have a blissful and long lasting marriage.

Deepavali Love

A throwback to the the time i got the indian side of me on....  Went to my bff's house for a deepavali celebration, and decided to put on something festive to match the joyous theme.

To most readers out there who do not know what this celebration is about, allow me to enlighten you on this.

Deepavali, is a five-day Hindu festival that begins on the shortest day of the year during the period between mid-October and mid-November depends ( if was on the 10 Nov 15 this year). Deepavali celebrates light triumph over darkness and this is known as the Festival of Lights.

A very happy celebration which includes yummy and delicious goodies and snacks. Beautifully decorated house with vibrant colours and patterns, a celebration not to be missed indeed.

Bottoms: Ripped Jeans from a local store ( sorry cannot really recall the store)
Shoes from Bugis Street.

Able to look good without spending a massive bomb on my outfiit is always ideal. Leave a comment if you like on what do you think of my assemble and do you love denim as much as i do....

urban outlook

I'm very  into this urban and loose kind of look lately... the checkered outerwear is my current fav item of clothing. The black of the shirt is longer than the front, giving the rustic and laid back look..

It is very easy to pair and I've go with the darker colour scheme to give the entire outfit a bit more Tasteful....

Bangkok Day 3

Okay so this is the day 3 of my Bangkok trip.... on the third day we did nothing very much exciting. All of us decided to head to Union mall so we took a water taxi and then took a train down to the location. We thought of dodoing  some shopping and maybe after that go to other places cos we expected it to be boring...

But guess what we actually spent and entire day at union mall!  The clothes there we're awesome and super cheap in my opinion... the girls actually did their nails there and us boys well we went to shop on further. I actually bought my green parka I posted earlier at union mall, it was one of my best buy there in Bangkok.

We also watched magic mike, the show was boring to us though. I actually expected it to be like super awesome cos channing Tatum is in in!

After our day spent at union mall we went for a mookata dinner. Food was not bad,has a authentic Thai mookata taste to it. Maybe we are not used to the food there but all four of us had stomach ache the next day.

After our meal we went to Chinatown and another place I cant recall the name... a lazy and tired day it was!

#ootd

Selamat Hari Raya to all my Muslim friends out there! Feeling very dressy today so I've put on a formal wear top that I bought from Bangkok!  I love the dark blue colour of the top.  The material is very silky and comfortable with very neat cutting.  I've paired it with a pair of maroon long pants to keep to the dark colour contrast I was working towards to.

To add more colours to my outfit I've I clouded a dark green clutch Which I bought from Bangkok. What's good about the clutch is that it also has a strap Which I can attached to sling if I'm lazy to hold my bag around. In addition, following the crave of sports shoes hype ive also bought this pair of nike air max shoe from bangkok. Let me tell you that im super in love with the black and white colour on the shoes. It has aa netting around the shoe which gives the shoe a whole other dimension.

Bangkok Day 2

Day 2 of my BKK tripping.... we went to the Siam city theme park okay Bkk.  There were not only theme park rides, there was also a water park... we went to the worlds largest wave pool, So they claimed it to be. The waves were like so minute and gentle, very boring but if you love to just chill you and lay back you  may like it....  there wasn't much water  rides at the water park, just a high speed slides Which lived to it's name and I almost broke my back.😂😂

All well, luckily there was a free Lunch buffet which was sorta yummy and filling... we proceed to the theme park after our sumptuous meal...  don't be fooled by the rides. They may look kidish but let me tell you they pack a hell of a punch. The rides were epic and super fun! Expect maybe one ride  Which it was kinda like a simulation where we were in  a rocket and it just moved up and down like a kiddy car ride.

Walking along the theme park we found.....SINGAPORE! There was Actually Singapore replica of the Marina bay sands, the esplande and many more. Hence we coldnt resisit taking a photo to show our singapore spirt right.

After our theme park fun we went to the chutucak(pardon the spelling) night market. Which many of my friends suggested not to go. I don't know Why but I loved it,the things there are cheap and nice. As we walk along the streets we grew hungry and wanted to try some street food. However, knowing my stomach I will definitely have a stomach ache the next day, so me and my best friends skipped the street food part as we watched our other friends eat(However I did try a bit and it ! was yummy) . My best friend and I in the end had mac and I tried their pork Burger Where the pork is very tender and savory.

After dinner we decided to go for a drink at a bar to sum up our tiring day 2.

Bangkok Day 1

Hello Bangkok!!! My very first day in bangkok started crappy...

Upon arrival in the airport in bangkok and proceed in claiming my luggage, just to realized that they broke my luggage lock as well as my luggage stand. Items in my luggage, thankfully are still there but was in a minior mess... I was so annoyed and upset about this already when i recieved another news saying that my hotel had a electrical breakdown and had to transfer me to another one.

As my other two friends booked seperately from us they also experienced similar issues but no email was sent to them informing them about this screwd up. Thankfully the staff at The Hotel 93 was kind and helpful to find a cheaper yet plesant hotel for us to stau and helped us settele the admim stuff as well as contacting the 3rd party hotel provider to settle out stay.

However, once the hotel issue was kinda sorted out we did what we came to Bangkok for....SHOPPINGGG!!!  We first went to platinum mall to find a new luggage for me. The mall has three sections to it... platinum mall 1-3, it was Seriously huge and amazing.. prices there had gone up a little bit and is pricer than before. However, the things there are relatively decent and nice...

After that we had luch at this place where they sell like 0.40¢ per bowl of wonton noodle.. is was yummy and AWESOME cheap...  literally we can write like 30 bowls... now wonder they call the place boat noodle,Cos the stacking of the bowls kinda look like a long boat... we didn't eat much though..

After that we went to asiatique.  we room their BTS (train) and then a boat ride Which costs like 20 bhat per person in total... upon arrival we did more shopping till dawn....  the stuff at asiatique are decent and cheap as well (in my opion) we did some drinking and eating before doing more shopping... we went and did the fish spa there as well Which was like $6. Let me tell you it was hella ticklish.... o couldn't stand it!!!

After asiatique we sorted end our day there Nd headed back to the hotel.... that practically sums up my day!!!

Stay tune for Bangkok day 2

Rainbow Power!

What a long and hectic week I had. Very busy and exhausted and definitely in need of a good long vacation... I am so looking forward to my Bangkok trip next Friday.  I am going to let loose and enjoy myself before burying myself in my hectic life again.

To celebrate and rejoice in gay marriage being legalized in America I took a photo with a rainbow... wearing my sorry not sorry shirt, telling a the haters out there that who cares if you are not  agreeable in same sex marriage! Love is blind and it comes in all different shapes, sizes and gender. I believe that all should have their own chance at their happily ever after and I am a 100% on board with it.

I have also layered my outfit with a denim t-shirt that has a high collar cut to it. To add a pop of colour I've wore a maroon pants.  Not forgetting my over-wore pair of brown boat shoes and to finish the look I've added a vintage necklace with my horoscope on it; an Aries sign.

FRIDAY EVERYDAY!

Okay so Friday is coming soon and each step we take forward we move towards what we want to achieve...

How I wish it's Friday everyday.... After this hectic and chaotic week I am so looking forward to my Bangkok trip next week.

Will definitely post all my travel fun when I'm Back:)

-Wearing what I call a picnic table cloth (checkered top) and an old blue jeans.... Giving the semi causal look with a small square bag and by favorite pair of brown boat shoes...

Monday ootd!

When you can't decide what to wear on a Monday and the blues are getting you down! Well I went for a collage preppy look...  Keeping your spirts high and preppy!

I have a blue Polo tee from cotton on, that is kinda tight fitting to give the body more structure and shape. I've also paired it together with a brown shorts and a brown vintage pair of shoes...

Tieing up the whole preppy collage look I've added a Marc Jacobs rose gold watch.

Well this look can be useful if you are really lazy and don't feel like wearing too over the top!

Fresh Fruit Lab Cafe

Went cafe-hopping with these two crazy people. However, instead of going to multiple cafe like what we were suppose to do we went to one cafe instead and stayed there 😂 we went to the Fresh Fruits Lab cafe and let me just say it was an interesting place to visit.

Let me just say that being a noob and having directional problems. It was a challenge finding the place. To also spice things up a little it started to rain!

When we managed to find the place the cafe was decorated super pretty and vintage I might add. The place gives a very pleasant and outdorsy kind of feel (in my opinion).

The three of us ordered the same food(chicken breast with spinach  and roasted  potatoes). The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the spinach  was creamy and it didn't give you the very gerlate feel... the best part of the dish was the roasted potatoes, it was so crisp on the outside and soft in the inside.... perfect!

We also order two fizzy drinks. One was the passion fruit soda Which was AWESOME btw and the other was ordered by yours truly, fresh fruit mint(can't remember three exact name)... it was horrible,Unless you like the taste of  medicine and toothpaste...

The colorful test tube you see are actually fruit juices they gave for free. I must say some of the juices are actually very fresh and delicious while some are just weired and alternative....

Overall I don't think I'll go Back there again but I must say the experience was pleasant...The cafe may not be to my liking but who knows you may love the place.😀

army FTW

Like wearing the army print uniform is not enough during working hours 😂

The army print-ish style is getting on trend and is super popular... I've been seeing many people, both men and women wearing this print around.

I've wore a black top inside which has a rough and textile -ish kinda  feel to it. Then pair it with a yellow mustard long pants and a brown pair of boat shoes to complete the earthy and army feel.

I'm still kinda experimenting how else I can wear this army style print with other combinations though... any suggestions?

causal lazy Sunday outfit.

What to wear on a lazy Sunday and not to disregard being fashionable and trendy....

Keeping it simple with a plain white long sleeve shirt from cotton on with just $10. Also not forgetting the popular trend of a pair of comfortable ripped jeans. I love wearing ripped jeans, living in a super hot and tropical country like Singapore the holes from the jeans helps to ventilate and keep me cool...

To keep it causal and comfortable, I've put on a pair of blue high-cut converse to add a pop of colour. To complete my entire outfit I have added a simple black Eiffel tower necklace..
